Join us in person or virtually for a prayer gathering at HQ for the people of Ukraine.
The world pauses to know how to respond without triggering WWIII. Meanwhile, we are responding in practical ways and opening a relief account. If you wish to help, respond here knowing it goes to helping the women and children running for their lives.
Our safe house partners are near the border of Ukraine. They are immediately delivering hot meals, baby food, winter clothing, hygiene products, blankets and diapers to women and children massing at the border in the freezing cold, having walked for miles with toddlers. No passports or visas are required to cross the border now as any kind of ID documentation is accepted. Women and children with no relatives or money are staying in this neighboring country and need immediate attention. Those with money are moving on through convinced that these nations are next. Not too far away is an area known for human trafficking (& still uses the Russian Ruble) and one reason this nation has been denied entry into the EU. In addition, our partner is about to graduate a group of trafficking survivors from the program to independent living and jobs. They ask prayer that the economic turbulence will not displace these girls’ futures and plans. They’ve come so far and need to remain in on-going contact with the program. With so many fleeing and predators lurking, they ask prayer.
Most important now for us is prayer!
We don’t have tanks, ammunition, or bodies to offer. But we know the God of angel armies and several times a day, my husband and I stop and pray desperately claiming Zechariah 2:5 asking God himself to be a wall of fire AND the glory within the borders of that nation and those surrounding.
