In 2005, a precious group of people established an Academy to train Nicaraguan men and women in the arts, including that of metal fabrication. Lacking even the most basic education, these men and women are taught not only a trade, but how to lead, provide for themselves financially, and contribute to their community. This Academy exists to help them live with dignity and helps their families to do the same. Our partnership with the Academy also helps support a local safehouse full of hundreds of women and rescued children. Together we are wrapping arms of love and dignity around families of metal workers as well as a Nicaraguan safehouse.
