Rebecca McDonald, founder and president of Women At Risk, International (WAR, Int’l), is speaking at this event hosted by the Northern Lakes Community Mental Health Authority on Friday, May 8, 2020. The event is from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Becky will be speaking from 8:30 – 10:30 a.m.

There is often a dark, tangled web that surrounds victims of trafficking, trauma and substance use disorders. Becky will bring light into the darkness of this century’s fastest-growing arm of crime, human trafficking. The program focuses on human trafficking with identifying signs and symptoms by medical category and being able to report and respond. The program will provide an appropriate assistance plan that can be implemented to make changes for the victim and community.

Application has been approved for 6.0 Michigan Certification Board for Addiction Professionals (MCBAP, specific to substance use) credits, 6.0 Michigan Social Work Continuing Education Collaborative CEUs, and 6.0 Michigan Board of Nursing credits. All sessions must be attended and an evaluation submitted to be eligible for credit.
