Job: Volunteer & Event Program Coordinator

We are seeking an energetic and persuasive Event and Volunteer Coordinator to recruit and secure volunteers to host product tables at community events such as craft shows, vendor fairs, trade shows, product expos, and other promotional events. This role is also responsible for developing opportunities for future events, arranging for speakers for the events, and coordinating the details of the event.

Duties

  • Make outbound calls to prospective volunteers or speakers using provided contact lists
  • Clearly explain event opportunities, expectations, and benefits of hosting a product table
  • Secure commitments from volunteers or speakers for specific dates and events
  • Maintain accurate records of calls, follow-ups, and confirmed bookings in CRM system
  • Send follow-up emails and event details to confirmed volunteers or speakers
  • Build rapport and maintain positive relationships with volunteers and speakers
  • Meet or exceed weekly and monthly volunteer recruitment goals
  • Coordinate with Sales Lead, Product Department and various teams to ensure event needs are met
  • Re-engage previous volunteers in current company campaigns and events
  • Work as a team player both within a team and between departmental teams
  • Provide occasional training to new, current and past volunteers to ensure a well-executed event
  • Maintain social media updates
  • Performs other duties as assigned or required to be in alignment with WAR Int’l’s mission

Skills & Qualifications

  • Dedication to the mission and passion of Women at Risk, International – to rescue, restore, redeem and empower at-risk and rescued women, men and children
  • Previous call center, telemarketing, or customer service experience preferred
  • Proficient computer skills, including the ability to quickly learn and work with a web-based customer relations and project manager
  • Strong verbal and written communication and persuasion skills
  • Comfortable making high-volume outbound calls
  • Positive attitude with a goal-oriented mindset
  • Excellent organizational and follow-up skills
  • Ability to handle objections professionally and confidently
  • Basic computer proficiency (CRM systems, email, spreadsheets)
  • Organized, dependable, and self-motivated
  • Comfortable with creating content for posting on social media

Work Environment

  • This position is an on-site position at our 44th Street location.
  • This position is largely based indoors in an office environment where employees spend most the majority of their time working on computers.
  • Regular interaction with co-workers, volunteers and customers is expected.

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position (standing or sitting for extended periods)
  • Ability to lift and move merchandise (up to 50 lbs)
  • Ability to bend, reach, and walk throughout the shift
