Girls in Pakistan face more barriers to education than those almost anywhere else in the world. Yet a small group of determined mothers is making sure their daughters are able to learn. Gathering together to make scarves, they stitch and dye colorful fabrics while their daughters learn to read and write. As these mothers help support their families and pay for tutors, they quietly and deliberately provide an education for their daughters. Though it is small, this program is profoundly important, empowering dozens of young Pakistani girls to learn to read, think, dream, pray, and love. It is the hope of these mothers and of WAR, Int’l that each of these precious girls will blossom into a bright, educated woman who will make a difference in her culture and her world.
