Threads of Hope

Philippines

In the Philippines, an entire commercial flight may enter the country solely for sexual tourism. Yet our faithful partners are determined to stem the tide of trafficking. They now employ an entire at-risk community—700 female artisans from an impoverished coastal village. Parents now can feed and look after their little ones, no longer fearing they might disappear to the local beaches known for prostitution. Through their thriving micro-enterprise, this village has built a school and community center, bringing medical care, child care, and education to their people. As families weave these bracelets, they form circles of protection around the innocent, preventing the further spread of trafficking, and creating sustainability for their whole community. By investing in this village, you provide safety for the little ones and empower entire Filipino families to work with dignity.
