Job: Café Team Member

Do you have a passion to be a voice for the voiceless around the world? Women At Risk, International is looking for a qualified individual to help part-time in our Tea Trade Café. This fair-trade coffee shop and tearoom will serve those at-risk on a global scale. The purpose of this job will be to create a positive dining experience, encouraging customers to return regularly. We are seeking those with positive attitudes who are excited to be part of WAR, Int’l. Please see below for specific duties and requirements, as well as desired qualifications.

WAR, Int’l was established in 2006. We are represented in all 50 states, with partnerships in more than 50 countries, including the United States. Our goal is to create circles of protection and hope around women and children at risk through culturally sensitive, value-added intervention projects.

Duties & Responsibilities

This individual will be responsible for the following tasks, as well as any additional tasks determined by the organization:

  • Run the cash register
  • Serve as a barista
  • Prepare and serve food items for guests
  • Wash dishes
  • Maintain the cleanliness of the restaurant
  • Maintain Event Volunteer Coordinator SOP and Job description
  • Other duties as assigned in support of WAR, Intl’s mission

Education & Experience

  • Food service experience not mandatory
